Caribbean food tour
Cook the Caribbean with produce from the garden: coconut rice, patacones, estate fruit.

Estate kitchen
Caribbean cooking with produce from our own garden, fruit harvested on the property and fish from the area.
The table at La Jorará rests on the estate's kitchen garden. A good part of what reaches the plate — fruit, vegetables, herbs — is harvested a few metres away, and the rest is bought from producers in the region, which supports the local economy and stops the food travelling half of Colombia before it is served.
The emphasis is on a varied menu of salads, seafood, tropical fruit and vegetables. Local food prepared with regional ingredients is central to the dining room: this is not international hotel cooking with Caribbean touches, it is Caribbean cooking.
The range of fruit depends on the harvest season, which is the logical consequence of serving what the estate produces. In a single week there may be mango, guava, several kinds of banana, passion fruit or medlar, depending on what is ripe.
If you have any dietary preference or restriction, let us know before you arrive. There is no supermarket nearby, so with advance notice it is easily solved and without notice it may not be.
Included in the room rate, with fruit harvested on the estate and a coffee and tea station. Usual hours are 7:00 to 10:00 in the morning.
Breakfast and dinner, or breakfast and lunch. Includes a main course, a natural drink and the coffee station. Contracted when booking.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The most practical option when the plan is to stay on the estate, since there are no restaurants within walking distance.
Set up in the kiosk built as a replica of Tayrona architecture, on the exclusive beach, with a bonfire at dusk. Requested in advance.
Yes, through the day pass, which includes lunch with a main course and a natural drink, plus access to the exclusive beach, the natural pool and the trails. For groups the per-person rate drops with size.
Yes. The kitchen works with a lot of vegetables, fruit and salad, so it adapts well. Let us know when booking so it can be planned for.
